Why should sailors, surfers and canoeists pay particular attention to their skin when exposed to the sun? What kind of protection allows people to enjoy a day on the water while safeguarding their skin? What should be applied to a child’s skin to protect it effectively from solar radiation?
I have undergone plastic surgery, received filler or botulinum toxin injections, or had a peeling treatment, and I will soon be going on a boating holiday: how should I protect myself? How should I choose the most suitable sunscreen for my skin when sailing or canoeing?
These and many other questions are addressed by Ambra and Giuseppe Monfrecola on the basis of scientific evidence presented in a clear and accessible way, for everyone who loves the sea and the recreational or sporting activities associated with it.
